At Shear Creations Workforce Development Academy, our mission goes beyond teaching braiding. Through community-focused initiatives, we partner with schools, nonprofits, youth programs, healthcare organizations, and community agencies across Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area to inspire confidence, self-sufficiency, and long-term success.
Beauty From The Inside Out
Beauty From The Inside Out is a community empowerment initiative designed to help participants see their own worth — both inside and out. Through mentorship workshops, educational demonstrations, and hands-on beauty experiences, this program reminds individuals that true beauty starts with confidence, self-respect, and self-care.

F.A.B. — Fearfully and Beautifully Made
F.A.B. is a life-skills empowerment program rooted in the belief that every individual is fearfully and beautifully made. This initiative focuses on building self-worth, resilience, and purpose — helping participants recognize their value beyond appearance, and equipping them with the confidence to pursue their goals.
